Blackwood Café Renovation
Commercial Renovation Concept with Heritage Sensitivity
This renovation concept reimagines an existing café in Blackwood, with a strong focus on maintaining the building’s heritage character while improving functionality and capacity. The exterior was intentionally preserved to retain its established street presence and connection to the local area.
Internally, the layout was redesigned to double the dining space, improving customer flow and seating capacity. A new outdoor dining area was introduced to enhance the café experience and make better use of the site. Back-of-house improvements included new toilet facilities, a dedicated office, laundry, and additional storage, supporting smoother day-to-day operations.
The result is a considered commercial renovation that balances heritage character, operational efficiency, and customer comfort.
